CHRIS SCOTT TEACHING BEAUTY MAKEUP AT ACADEMY OF ART UNIVERSITY

New Course Matches Artistry and Business Skills For Makeup Artists

San Francisco, CA (January 27, 2009) : Makeup artist Chris Scott begins a new class of his design today at the acclaimed Academy of Art University in San Francisco. His class will teach not only how to be a great makeup artist, but how to apply a business sense to this skill in order to make revenue.

This is a rare opportunity for students to get hands-on artistry training and marketing skills at the same time. In an economic time of fewer jobs, this is one empowering way to be pro-active and create opportunity where once there was none. Often it is the criticism of education that it teaches one side of the brain and not the other. This new course is designed to get both sides of the brain functioning harmoniously.

This new course is found in the fashion department. It is a perfect ft for Chris as a major impact on his makeup training has been through Chanel, and he always considers fashion first before applying makeup.

Chris created the Makeup Interview first in his book, Cosmetic Counter Survival Guide. In this interview, the client learns to factor in all their pre-set choices (such as clothes, shoes, accessories, handbag etc.) before deciding on what makeup to wear and how to wear it. The Interview simplifies the choices and makes creating the right makeup look a true artistic expression to enjoy.

This new course goes through the month of May 2009. If all goes well, you may see it on the Fall 2009 course catalog.

This sounds like a very valuable course. I have recently started expanding my makeup study to that of permanent makeup. But I wish this course had been available when I was in school.
