MAKEUP GOURMET RETURNS TO TASTE TV’S CHOCOLATE SALON
Expanded Features Include Cocoa-Themed Looks For Makeup-Hair-Nails
San Francisco, March 12, 2009- Chris Scott, the Makeup Gourmet, voted “Best of San Francisco” by 7x7 magazine will be appearing live at the Chocolate Salon (www.sfchocolatesalon.com) at Fort Mason (www.fortmason.org) in the Herbst Pavilion Saturday March 21. This year, besides offering chocolate-inspired makeup looks that will melt in your mouth-not on your mouth, the chocolate inspired styling looks have expanded to include hair and nails.
Besides being delicious, chocolate provides a sense of well-being on the inside. The Makeup Gourmet extends that sensation to the exterior as his team of stylists gives attendees that chocolate-dipped appeal to wear throughout the day.
Billed as the “Emeril of Makeup” host Chris Scott will be featuring 3 mouth-watering chocolate inspired makeup looks. They are:
• Milk Chocolate- a subtle natural melt-in-your-mouth look.
• Dark Chocolate- a higher intensity more smoky finish look.
• Hot Fudge Sundae- a Red Carpet, glamorously delicious, look.
These three looks were taped at the Chocolate salon in 2007 and featured on an episode of Makeup Gourmet. To watch his chocolate makeup in action, go to: http://www.makeupgourmet.com/mgtv11.html
L’Oreal Portfolio Artist Scott Smith will be on hand creating chocolate-inspired hairstyles like “Tootsie Rolls” and “Chocolate Souffle”. Nail design is provided by Anrika Patton. She is creating looks just for this event such as “French Vanilla” and “Chocolate Stripe”.
Just as the Chocolate salon is all in good, ooey-gooey chocolaty fun, so will the styling be at the Makeup Gourmet booth. All for the price of admission, you get to feel, taste, and now look your chocolatyist best.
If you are covering this event, we encourage you to meet the Makeup Gourmet, and ask about his new makeup video tutorial website to launch July 1, 2009.
PRODUCTS & SERVICES
Available to attendees only will be discounted Makeup Gourmet Makeup brushes, Mr. Scott’s book, Cosmetic Counter Survival Guide, as well as a far-reaching list of makeup & hair services. For those who like a little limelight, reserve a Style Star where we make you star of your own makeover show-and you keep the DVD as a styling tutorial. Discount cards will be available at the booth and are free to any attendee.

CHRIS SCOTT TEACHING BEAUTY MAKEUP AT ACADEMY OF ART UNIVERSITY
New Course Matches Artistry and Business Skills For Makeup Artists
San Francisco, CA (January 27, 2009) : Makeup artist Chris Scott begins a new class of his design today at the acclaimed Academy of Art University in San Francisco. His class will teach not only how to be a great makeup artist, but how to apply a business sense to this skill in order to make revenue.
This is a rare opportunity for students to get hands-on artistry training and marketing skills at the same time. In an economic time of fewer jobs, this is one empowering way to be pro-active and create opportunity where once there was none. Often it is the criticism of education that it teaches one side of the brain and not the other. This new course is designed to get both sides of the brain functioning harmoniously.
This new course is found in the fashion department. It is a perfect ft for Chris as a major impact on his makeup training has been through Chanel, and he always considers fashion first before applying makeup.
Chris created the Makeup Interview first in his book, Cosmetic Counter Survival Guide. In this interview, the client learns to factor in all their pre-set choices (such as clothes, shoes, accessories, handbag etc.) before deciding on what makeup to wear and how to wear it. The Interview simplifies the choices and makes creating the right makeup look a true artistic expression to enjoy.
This new course goes through the month of May 2009. If all goes well, you may see it on the Fall 2009 course catalog.

Video Makeovers: Changing The Face Of Faces Forever
I love video. This new concept of showing people how to do their makeup and hair on video has proven to be of more worth than anticipated. Every recipient has been overwhelmed by how much information they will never forget. As far as remembering EVERYTHING your makeup and hair stylist does, it is flawless because you are the model.
I have had requests for people who want to host their own video makeover party with their friends. The concept is simple. get at least 5 friends to attend and participate in the video makeover and the host receives their video makeover FREE! Everyone wins because your friends will adore you for even more than ever for inviting them and you get your video makeover free.
Too much fun. If you want to know more about this service, please contact me now at chris@makeupgourmet.com. Thank you.
